Last Month a dear friend of mine and amazing photographer, Erin Hughes, came down with her family. They stayed with us for the night so we could take each others family photos (and so the kids could play and we could consume some adult beverages)! It was my husbands idea and I thought he was crazy! My response was, “I will be a nervous wreck!! Have you seen her work?”. My husband is a bit of a risk taker and he urged me to entertain the idea. So, I weighed out my odds and thought – what’s the worse that can happen? If the pictures I take of her family completely suck, #1:she is a great friend and will forgive me and #2 she will guide me and tell me what I did wrong. If they turn out OK, I will have overcome a pretty big fear. A win, win situation. I already knew that she would do an phenomenal job taking our pictures so I did not even give that a second thought (except for the wardrobe drama). As it turns out she was nervous too – which is crazy to me, but we both overcame. I got a foggy beach and she got a seaweed covered beach – but we made do! Last week I finished up her gallery and pressed the send button and prayed ;). Not 20 minutes later I got the sweetest text from her saying that she loved them! So, if they are good enough for her they are good enough to share!
Thank you Erin for making that weekend happen!! Love you and your family!!!!
XOXO,
Kelli
