It’s been way too long. I have to admit I get a little overwhelmed as to what to “blog” first! I’ve had some AMAZING photo sessions in the past (cough, cough) 5 months! This Christmas season was the busiest yet and it honestly has not slowed down since. I usually post a few pictures from each session over on the Beyond Words Facebook page. If you’re not a fan over there yet, please head on over and click that little ‘Like’ button! While you’re at it, look around, and catch yourself up on all the beauty I’ve had the honor of capturing lately!
Another big reason this blog sometimes gets put at the bottom of my to-do list is because of these three crazy, wonderful boys of mine featured here today! Man, do they keep me busy! With only 13 more days of school left, I’m starting to get a little anxiety of having them all home for the Summer. Yes, a few summer camps have been booked and we have some really fun things planned for the Summer. But, I’m sure, come August 1st. I will be doing the back-to-school countdown just as they are doing the Summer break countdown right now.
Speaking of things planned for the Summer, I will be in Steamboat Springs, CO from June 6-June 21 if anyone from Colorado is looking to book a photo session. I’m going back for my 20 year high school reunion (YIKES!), and I thought I’d stay for a couple of weeks and enjoy being “home”.
Back to this blog post, I took these pictures of my boys (and my nephew, Gavin), a couple of weeks ago. Each year around Mother’s Day I tell the boys that all I want is for them to let me take their pictures. I will never understand why it is so painstakingly hard to take pictures of my own kids. I did however luck out on this day. We had just come from soccer and getting ice cream so we headed over to the local park. There was very little posing and a lot of fun was had. They were dirty, tired, and being their silly/crazy selves. But, I’m pretty happy with the results! Enjoy!
I’m off to pick up these three turkeys!! Wish me luck! 😀
